Enhanced Emergency Movement Control Order (EMCO) in Malaysia
Due to the increase in Covid-19 infections throughout Malaysia, the Ministry of Health has prolonged the current “Movement Control Order” within the country, implementing even more restrictions for the most affected areas. Despite Sempermed's proactive, protective measures, our Sempermed production site in Kamunting has been impacted by this order.

To protect our employees' health and safety, Sempermed has enforced strict COVID prevention measures. With the recent rise in infections in Malaysia, we have implemented even more stringent measures within our factories to ensure maximum protection. This includes limiting the number of people currently working in our production sites. Unfortunately, the number of infections in Malaysia continues to increase. To curb the rise in infections, the Malaysian authorities have instituted an Enhanced Movement Control Order ("EMCO") effective until July 16, 2021, requiring the closure of not only our plants, but also those of surrounding competitors.

Most of the world’s glove production occurs in Malaysia, so this situation will have a global impact. Despite these governmental orders, the Malaysian authorities are working with us to ensure that all possible steps are taken to mitigate the impact of the EMCO on our operations.

We are currently in the process of evaluating the potential effects regarding scheduled delivery times for individual orders. Please be assured that we are doing our best to ensure the timely delivery of your examination glove orders, yet we cannot fully rule out some delivery delays. If you have questions, please contact your Sempermed representative.

At Sempermed, we care about your comfort and protection, always. It is the driving force behind what we do. Our gloves are disposable. The people they protect are not.®
